The power of LOVE

Abdullah ibn Masud RadiAllahu Anhu (may Allah be pleased with him) related that a man came to the Holy Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasalam (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and asked what him about a person who loves a group of people yet is unable to keep their company. He replied, "One who loves someone is nevertheless with him, or will be placed with him in the Hereafter." (Bukhari, Muslim, Ma'ariful Hadis)
Umar RadiAllahu Anhu said that the Holy Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasalam said, "Among the slaves of Allah there are some who are neither Prophets nor martyrs, but, on the Day of Resurrection many Prophets and martyrs will envy them because of their nearness to Allah." The Companions asked, "O Rasulullah (Messenger of Allah)! Please tell us about them." He replied, "These are the people who without any bonds of kinship and without having any financial interest, love each other for the Sake of Allah alone. As such I swear by Allah that their faces will be glittering on the Day of Judgment, nay they will be all light and sitting on a pulpit of light. And, when people will be fearful at that moment, they will be peaceful and undisturbed. When people will be worried, they will not be worried." And he read this verse:

"Verily for the friends of Allah there is no fear nor shall they grieve."

(Sunan Abu Dawud, Ma'ariful Hadis)

When the Holy Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasalam was seated with some people a man passed by. One of them said, "O Rasulullah! I love this man for the Sake of Allah." The Holy Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasalam asked, "Have you told him?" "No!" was his reply. Then the Prophet said "Go and tell him now that you love him for the Sake of Allah." Instantly the man rose and told his friend how much he loved him for the Sake of Allah. His reply was, "May He love you for the Sake of Whom you love me." (Tirmizi, Au Dawud)

KEEPING THE COMPANY OF THE PIOUS ONES

Abu Razin RadiAllahu Anhu relates: The Holy Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasalam said, "I will tell you something that is the very pivot of Iman (faith) through which you can achieve goodness in this world and the next. Firstly, keep the company of those who remember Allah, the Ahl-e-Thikr. Secondly, when you are alone keep your tongue busy in remembering Allah, as much as possible. Thirdly, love only for the Sake of Allah and hate only for the Sake of Allah." (Baihaqui)

The best way to taste the beauty of the Din (Religion) is through keeping company with the people of piety. (Hayatul-Muslimeen)
