And in the earth are adjoining tracts and gardens of vines and sown fields and palm trees in clusters and otherwise all watered with one water; yet We make some of them to excel others in food. (4, Al-Raad)

Have they not seen the birds held in the atmosphere? (79. Al-Nahal)

And of His Signs is that He shows you lightning for fear and hope, and sends down water from the heaven, with which He revives the earth after it is dead. (24, Al-Rum)

And of His Signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. (37, Hamim Sajda)

Hast thou not seen how thy Lord has stretched out the shadow? And had He willed, He would have made it still, then We made the sun to be its indicator;(45, Al-Furqan)

Has there come on Man a while of time when he was not a thing to be remembered?(1, Dahr)

and created you in pairs,(8, Al-Naba)

He who has made the earth a cradle for you and opened in it routes for you, and sent down water from heaven. And with it, (says He), We have brought forth diverse kinds of plants: (53, Taha)

Mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from a single soul. (1, Annisa)

and the diversity of your languages and colours; in that are surely Signs for the men of knowledge.(22, Al-Rum)

and also in your selves; will you not see?(21, Al-Zariyat)

And of His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and such creatures that He has scattered abroad in them; and He is powerful to gather them when He will.(29, Al-Shura)

And for you in the cattle is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies between the dung and the blood, pure milk, pleasant to the drinkers. And of the fruits of the palms and the grapes, you take therefrom intoxicant and good provision. And thy Lord revealed to the bee: `make houses in the mountains, in the trees and in what people build; then eat of all the fruits, and follow the set ways of thy Lord'. There comes forth out of their bellies a beverage of different hues having healing power for mankind. In that is surely a Sign for a people who ponder.(66-69, AL-Nahal)

Now let Man look at his food. We poured out water abundantly, then split the earth asunder, and made to grow in it grain, and vines and vegetables, and olives and palms, and gardens, dense and lofty, and fruits and pastures, a provision for you and the cattle.(24-32, Abas)

And the things He has scattered for you in the earth have different colours; in that is surely a Sign for a people who pay heed. And how many a Sign there is in the heavens and the earth that they pass by, turning away from it.(105, Yousaf)

Say, `O God, the Master of the kingdom, Thou givest the kingdom to whom Thou wilt, and Thou takest away the kingdom from whom Thou wilt; and Thou exaltest whom Thou wilt, and Thou abasest whom Thou wilt; in Thy hand is the good; Thou art powerful over everything. Thou makest the night to enter into the day, and Thou makest the day to enter into the night, and Thou bringest forth the living from the dead, and Thou bringest forth the dead from the living, and Thou providest whom Thou wilt without reckoning.'(26-27, Al-Imran)

Know that the present life is only a sport and a diversion, and an adornment and a cause for boasting among you, and a rivalry in wealth and children. (20, Al-Hadid)
Adorned for men is the love of lusts women, sons, heaped-up heaps of gold and silver, branded horses, cattle and tillage; those are the goods of the present life.(14, Al-Imran)

The likeness of the present life is only as water that We send down from the heaven, with which mingle the plants of the earth, whereof men and cattle eat; till, when the earth takes its glitter and adorns itself, and its people think that they have power over it, Our command comes upon it by night or by day, and We make it stubble, as if nothing was there yesterday. (24, Younas)
